HTC Rumored to Cancel Plans for Full-Size Windows RT Tablet

According to an internal source, HTC has abandoned launching a full-size Windows RT tablet. The main reason is that the company is worried that the product will not have a large market demand.
Due to the high cost of this product, together with the low interests for Windows RT devices, HTC decided not to manufacture the product. However, the company still plans to release a 7-inch tablet with an ARM processor and the same operating system. And it’s scheduled for be released later this year.
HTC is currently dealing with declining sales and the shrinking share of such unfavorable circumstances, while adjusting the management to launch products more selectively and effectively. As per market analyst firm’s IDC statistics, Microsoft’s Windows RT product sales have been stagnant since released in last October and now probably only sold 200,000 units. Nevertheless, HTC is to launch a smaller tablet in September or October this year. The cost of the product is relatively lower, and the market demand is likely to be higher.
