Android 4.3 Spotted and it’s not Key Lime Pie

While we’re all anxiously waiting for Google to release a new version of Android during the coming Google I/O conference later this year, some new rumors have popped up about Android. Signs are pointing towards Android 5.X.X Key Lime Pie to be be new version, and while it’s safe to assume that Android 5.0 will launch at some point, it might not be during Google I/O. Other rumors suggest that KLP won’t be ready for prime time by then and information discovered by Artem Russakovskii of Android Police may just confirm that.

With some digging, Artem found that Google is working on Android 4.3. To be specific, they are working on build JWR23B, in which the first letter points to the version of Android, and in this case, Jelly Bean. If Key Lime Pie is going to be a major revision change like it’s being suggested, Google may even need some more time to work out the kinks. Of course a lot of this is speculation. This also adds some weight though, to what Google said last year at I/O 2012 about slowing down the release of major revision to Android to help OEMs.
Anyhow, is will be interesting to see what Google is up to this time. Will Bable hit our phones soon? Who knows.
Will we get an Android 4.3 version before we see Android 5.0? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
