How to send Large Files Over the Internet For Free

If you need to transfer a large file to another Pc over the internet but you don’t know where to start, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! This guide will cover the simplest and most effective ways to send large files to another PC over the internet. And best of all, you won’t have to pay a dime.
File Compression
If you have a file which is too large to send as an email attachment, try to compress the file first. Not only will you shrink the file’s size but it will also make the transfer go faster. Most computers come with file compression utilities built in so compressing your documents to a .zip file shouldn’t be much of a hassle.

For Windows:

File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
If compressing your files seems a bit too much of a hassle, try using a File Transfer Protocol (FTP). Designed to transfer large files, FTP requires the installation of a FTP client. FireFTP: If you don’t feel like downloading a desktop program, make sure to check out FireFTP which allows file transfers right from your Firefox browser.

Another way to transfers files is to upload them to an online storage service. Cloud storage has become immensely popular the past few years and there are literally thousands of different cloud service providers.
