Tencent Denies Rumors That WeChat Will Charge Users

This is because that some operators keep imposing pressure on Tencent and also, according to the Minister of Industry and Information Technology that it would certainly begin to charge fees. However, this so-called “charge” refers to operators will charge Tencent , so most ordinary users are likely to use the WeChat for free, just like the Chinese popular instant message QQ .
On April 11, the team issued a statement to the users through WeChat, saying that they will never ever charge customers because they’ve already paid for Internet access.
