Chinese Huawei Plans to Recruit 5,500 in Europe

The Chinese telecom provider Huawei plans to recruit 5500 stuff in Europe in the next five years. And in the meanwhile, its major European competitors are laying off.
Previously, France Telecom, Alcatel – Lucent announced cutting off 5,500 employees, and the world’s largest telecommunications equipment maker Ericsson has also stated that it will lay off 1,550 in Sweden headquarters; Nokia Siemens Networks in 2011 said that the company will close 17,000 jobs.
In this regard, the Vice Chairman of Huawei Mr Hu estimates in an interview in Paris that with some signs of recovery in the European economy, mobile operators will be likely to expect more demand for the fast communication services and cheaper equipment, so as to promote the market needs.
